What its Not

There is a great saying, it is often said - maybe even overused. This saying is "money cannot buy happiness. This saying is absolutely true. I find it really sad that people are starting to believe otherwise, saying the contrary. The saying more money more problems definitely applies to these people. Newsflash! Rich Dad poor dad is not about happiness!.

Happiness, is tied to goals, not to people or to money. When one of these goals happens to be making money, then there are ways to go about it. Making money does not bring happiness, achieving the goal of making money brings happiness, there is a difference, it is merely a goal. The average person happens to make making money their lifetime goal, and when they go about it in the wrong way then they are unhappy. The reason they do not attain this goal is because they do not possess or develop the necessary traits to achieve it. The book gives insight on what to focus on in order to achieve the goal of making money.

If making money is not one of your goals, if being financially affluent is not one of your goals, then you are one of the following two things for reading this blog. Number one: if making money is not one of your goals then you are hypocrite for reading this blog, your lying to yourself (which is not going to get you anywhere). Number two: you are a well-rounded person who wants to see the perspectives of aspiring money makers. If you are convinced you were convinced that you were the first one, and then felt comforted when you saw the second choice, you're still hypocrite and you should consider being truthful with yourself in order to progress.

If your financial goal is to be affluent, then there are certain things you should know. We often get mislead by banks, greedy entrepreneurs and even kinfolk such as parents and friends. Definitely the most important thing a person should know is the notion of assets and liabilities. Learning this notion can take years, a person can be taught this notion at business school, but yet still not understand it. Rich dad poor dad explains this notion in a very simplistic and understandable manner. There are many things that are said in the book, I will leave you with  only one of these gifts.

“if you think that your house is the most important investment, then you will be stuck in the rat race for the rest of your life”.

  1. Beautifully organized. you're right very right; money CANNOT buy happiness but the outcome of money from a certain task does. This may be very crucial to, us, Junior students in choosing a career. Most of us need to understand choosing a career is not about the one that makes the most profit; a career is your passion that has the capability of rewarding you. I am positive some of us will make mistakes by forcing ourselves to major in a category we have apathy for. For example, Someone who loves to cook might choose to become a surgeon because of its charming income. Once they start majoring in it, they absolutely despise it since they only have interest in making money rather than making rapport with its decision. Look for the process of making money, not the money. Another thing that caught my attention is your quote at the very end. "if you think that your house is the most important investment, then you will be stuck in the rat race for the rest of your life”. I know too many people who try to invest the newest rugs, lights, renovations, etc to make themselves happy and compete with others on who has the nicest house. This only brings them to make wasteful spending and put their hard work into something that they will never be satisfied with. We all need self-discipline in order to become successful. In conclusion, money is not the goal of life. Understanding this statement will take you places you've never seen and form your character into the greatest wealth that even money cannot possibly buy...
